Single-axis solar trackers (see products – SF70) have advantages over fixed structures:
1- By tracking the sunlight throughout the day, the sun’s rays hit more directly, around 15 to 25% extra production per panel
2- The panels that are manufactured are usually bifacial, and with trackers the light from the other side is better used, around an extra 10% of production per panel.
3-For agrivoltaics it is highly recommended to install trackers, since with the height that the structure must have, the cost is higher and the production must also be. Thanks to the ability to adjust the inclination of the panels, it is possible to regulate what shade the crops will receive.
